Six new deaths, 247 new COVID-19 cases in Wichita County

CDC recommends masks in public settings

WICHITA COUNTY, Texas (TNN) - The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District confirmed six new deaths and 247 new COVID-19 cases in Wichita County on Wednesday. There were also 226 new recoveries.

There are now a total of 11,938 cases in Wichita County, with 3,343 of them still being active.

There are currently 3,235 patients recovering at home while 108 are in the hospital. There are currently 31 patients in critical condition.

There have been 218 total COVID-19 related deaths, 8,377 recoveries, and 54,381 negative tests in Wichita County.

There are now 1,118 tests still pending.

The Health District sadly has six deaths to report today; Case 9,949 (70 - 79), Case 11,271 (70 - 79), Case 8,155 (70 - 79), Case 3,244 (80+), Case 11,140 (80+) and Case 11,122 (70 - 79). There are 247 new cases, 226 recoveries, and 108 hospitalizations.
