WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - Construction will begin Tuesday at the corner of Hamilton Boulevard and Woodrow Avenue as a part of Phase 2 of the 2020 Sewer Budget Utility Improvement Project.
The City of Wichita Falls says the contractor is planning to divide the work into sections to minimize disruptions on the road. This plan means they will only need to temporarily close about one block section at a time.
Crews will work first on Woodrow Avenue before making their way north on Cherokee Avenue. They will then conclude the project on Brook Avenue.
Detour signs will be posted to help traffic with street closures and access to businesses along Brook Avenue will still be provided from adjacent cross streets.
The City of Wichita Falls is asking drivers to be cautious and to drive slowly in the area.
