WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - In January of 2019, Wichita Falls couple Lane and Tanna Anderson decided to take a leap of faith.
“They kind of fill in that space for not having our own biological kids,” said Tanna.
The leap of faith that filled that space came in the form of Kiyan, a German foreign exchange student.
“I would not change it for the world because it’s been a neat experience,” said Lane.
After a five-month stint of hosting Kiyan, the Andersons decided to expand their global “family” and brought in a Spanish student named Gabriel for a year, and now their current student, Philipp from Germany.
“It’s never boring with them,” said Philipp.
Although Philipp says he went through some growing pains, he’s come to appreciate his new American family and the change he’s seen in himself.
“It’s something that you will probably remember for the rest of your life,” said Philipp.
