SNYDER, Texas (KCBD) - The United States Geological Survey recorded a 3.1 magnitude earthquake 18 kilometers north-northwest of Snyder on Sunday afternoon.

The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 2.2 miles beneath the epicenter near Snyder in Scurry County at 3:54 p.m. local time.
