WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Four Texoma schools competed in the swim and dive districts in Mansfield on Thursday.

In the girls’ team rankings, Rider placed fifth, Burkburnett placed sixth and Hirschi finished seventh.

Hirschi swimmer Sofia Camacho set two new school records and finished with two bronze medals in the girls’ 200 and 500 yard freestyle.

In the boys’ team rankings, Rider placed second, WFHS placed fourth and Burkburnett finished seventh.

Rider swimmer Andrew Wake was named “Male Swimmer of the Meet.” Wake set two new school records in the boys’ 50 and 100 freestyle.

Rider swimmer Joe Genewick finished first overall in the boys’ 100 breaststroke.

The top six times qualify for the regional meet, which will take place Feb. 4-5.
