Cypress Environmental Laboratory offering internship for MSU Texas students
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The City of Wichita Falls is giving graduate and undergraduate students at Midwestern State University an opportunity at a paid internship with the Cypress Environmental Laboratory.
The internship will be 20 hours per week from May to August. The pay ranges from $10-12 an hour and will depend on graduate status.
This internship is designed for students with an interest in science. It will consist of learning about environmental sample collection practices, microbiological testing, wet chemistry and analytical chemistry techniques.
Human Resources Supervisor Brian Lester highly encourages this internship because the Cypress Water Laboratory is one of the leading facilities of its time.
“Back in 2014 and 2015 when we were experiencing those record droughts, the lab was instrumental in developing the reuse pipeline,” Lester said. “And that was at the time and still its leading edge in regards to public works, so it would give students an opportunity to basically work in a leading-edge laboratory.”
You can apply here. All applications must be turned in by April 15.
