WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Drop night is approaching for one class of student pilots over at Sheppard Air Force Base, and if you’ve never heard of it, strap in: it’s a big deal.

Every class in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program (ENJJPT) has two big milestones: drop night and graduation. While graduation symbolizes the successful completion of over a year of elite pilot training, drop night is a high-stakes reveal where student pilots find out exactly what planes they’ll fly at the start of their career.

The 23 pilots in Class 22-05 will find out their future assignments during their drop night on April 29. Countries represented in the class include the US, UK and Germany; Canadian and Italian students also flew with the group at different points in their training.

News Channel 6 has been keeping tabs on the progress of this particular class, and we’re wishing them all the best as they go into their big reveal.
