Wichita Falls ISD announces 2022 elementary, secondary teachers of the year
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Teachers give back in ways we may truly never know, while dedicating their time to educating the next generation.
Wichita Falls ISD officials honored some of the many who go above and beyond on Tuesday at the annual Teacher of the Year banquet.
26 teachers were honored; they were all selected by their peers as their campus’ teacher of the year. But two of those teachers took home the district-wide praise for Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year.
The Elementary Teacher of the Year went to Stephanie Musquiz, a 1st grade teacher at Ben Franklin Elementary.
“I am pretty excited about it,” Musquiz said. “It’s a true accomplishment. It’s something you work for and I am just excited to be acknowledged for my hard work.
The award for the Secondary Teacher of the Year was also given out and went to Kayci Bell, an 8th grade teacher at Kirby Middle School.
“I think teachers are the most impactful people in a kid’s life,” Bell said. “I just help mold them into the person their gonna be so it’s everything.”
