Tornado damages Lockett, TX area
LOCKETT, Texas (KAUZ) - Wilbarger County Emergency Management Coordinator Cody Alexander confirmed to News Channel 6 that a tornado damaged the Lockett, Texas area.
We’ve also spoken to Wilberger County Sheriff Brian Fritze who confirmed damage in the Lockett area, but said first responders have not been able to fully assess the damage because of darkness and downed power lines.
Sheriff Fritze confirmed there were no significant injuries or deaths to residents in Wilbarger County.
He said several homes and barns appeared to suffer extensive damage.
A more extensive damage survey will begin at daybreak.

This is not the first time tornadoes have touched down in the Lockett, Texas area. Two tornadoes hit the area on April 23, 2021.
