WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Wichita Falls Police say that a woman died after being hit by a pickup truck while bicycling on Southwest Parkway Thursday morning.

The crash was reported at 7:41 am at Southwest Parkway and Sisk Road.

A press release from the Wichita Falls Police Department says 65-year-old Nancy Kiel Beaver of Wichita Falls was riding her bike on Southwest Pkwy. and trying to turn onto Sisk Road. The truck was on Sisk Road and trying to turn onto Southwest Pkwy. The driver of the truck reportedly did not see Beaver.

Beaver was awake and alert at the scene of the crash and was transported to the hospital as a precaution, according to a WFPD press release. However, she passed away at United Regional at around 11 a.m.

Police say an investigation is ongoing, but that no charges are pending at this time.
