WFPD finds 528 Fentanyl pills during search

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Wichita Falls Police Department said members of their SWAT team discovered hundred of pills containing fentanyl during a search on Wednesday at the Stone Ridge Apartments.
According to WFPD PIO Sgt. Charlie Eipper, 21-year-old Andrew Byrd was arrested during a traffic stop at a different location before his apartment was searched.
Police said they found about 528 pills that had been laced with fentanyl, weighing about 58.7 grams.

Byrd later admitted to knowing the pills contained fentanyl when he sold them, according to police. He remains jailed in Wichita County on a $100,000 bond.
Police said he was also wanted on a Wichita County warrant for assault.
