Wichita Falls man awarded after helping save a life on I-45

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - A Wichita Falls man has been awarded the TCA Highway Angel title by the Truckload Carriers Association, after helping extinguish a car on fire.

Truck driver David Norman stopped to help extinguish a car that was on fire in the highway median.

While driving on I-45 near Dallas, TX, David and his colleague Daniel Dolf noticed a car had crashed into the median and burst into flames.

David and Daniel took action to extinguish the fire and ensure everyone’s safety.

Their quick thinking and selfless act saved lives that day: together, they successfully contained the fire and prevented anyone from being seriously injured.

David resides in Wichita Falls and is a former firefighter and registered first responder.
