Cameron calls Valparaiso, Indiana home, but spent some of his years living in Agawam, Massachusetts, and Lexington, Kentucky. Cameron became fascinated with the weather in the third grade by watching the TV show “Storm Chasers.” Seeing the violent nature of the atmosphere both scared, but interested Cameron. Cameron’s interest in weather stuck with him throughout his entire childhood and started to take off in high school when teachers and fellow students asked about winter weather and if a snow day was in the forecast. During this time, Cameron picked up the nickname, “Weatherman Cam.” After high school, Cameron went on to Mississippi State University to get a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Meteorology. While at Mississippi State, Cameron got to live out his dream and begin his storm-chasing career and spent lots of his time mastering severe weather forecasting. Outside of the weather, you can find Cameron watching or talking about Chicago sports. Cameron is considered a die-hard fan of the Chicago Blackhawks as he has an entire wall dedicated to Blackhawks memorabilia.
