WFISD Board Meeting To Shore Up Budget And Tax Rates

Newschannel Six has been following the budget woes that school districts across the state have been having after the Texas Legislature cut $4-billion from the state budget for public schools.
Monday the Wichita Falls Independent School District will be meeting to hear the Wichita Tax Appraisal District Budget. The board will also be setting a date for a public hearing on their proposed budget and tax rate for next year.

Last week we told you that the WFISD budget was not taking as hard a hit as was expected, and that they are reviewing possibly bringing back some programs that were on the chopping block.
