DPS Car Hits & Kills Teen In College Station

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Police say a 14-year-old boy has died after being struck by a Texas Department of Public Safety patrol car in Central Texas.

College Station police say the accident happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday.  Police say the boy was hit while trying to cross a road.

The victim suffered a head injury. He died at a hospital.

Names of the boy and the trooper haven't been released.  Messages left with DPS by The Associated Press were not immediately returned Wednesday.
