Woman Sentenced For Robbing Gas Station At Knife Point

A woman was sentenced to 10 years in Texas Departments of Criminal Justice after pleading guilty to armed robbery.

Olgalidia Castro Pando had a promise plea hearing Friday the 30th District Court.

The Wichita Falls Police Department said Pando robbed the Stripes Convenience Store on the 1000 block of Holiday St. the morning of April 30th. They said Pando pulled out a knife and demanded money from the store clerk. Police said she ran away with $20.

Later that morning, police said she was involved in an attempted armed robbery on the 2700 block of Miswestern Parkway.

As a man was using an ATM,a gray Honda Pilot pulled up and blocked his vehicle.  Police said Pando displayed the knife and demanded money.

Officers stopped the vehicle at Taft and Kell West.  She was arrested on one count of aggravated robbery.  A second woman in the vehicle was interviewed and then released.
