A deadly accident claims the life of a 8-year-old girl and shuts down a major Texoma highway Thursday night.
 
DPS troopers told Newschannel 6 two young sisters were crossing Southbound 287 near Harrold around 8:30 p.m. when one of the girls was hit by an 18-wheeler. 

Troopers say the 8-year-old died at the scene. 

TxDot officials shut down a portion of the highway, that has since been reopened.
