Health Insurance Sign Up Event

As the deadline to sign up for health insurance under President Obama's Healthcare Act inches closer, the Community Healthcare Center in Wichita Falls held a health insurance sign up event Saturday morning.

The CHC has two certified application counselors available at their facility, but through this event, Texomans were able to walk into the Wichita Falls Public Library to get their help.

No appointments were required.

"What we've been doing is giving assistance to each family as they need it, finding out what they qualify for and enrolling some individuals," said certified application counselors Rhea Wineinger and Stephanie Knisley.

For those that are still uninsured and could not make it out to this event, Wineinger and Knisley will be available at the CHC located on 200 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd during the week.

The deadline to sign up for health insurance is Monday, March 31^st.
