One Person Dead After Accident on Highway 287

A man is dead after an accident on Highway 287.
It happened just before 5:30a.m. Wednesday morning about three miles south of Bellevue.
DPS trooper said Michael Ray Leggett died from his injuries. He was from Cypress, Texas.
DPS Trooper Tony Fulton said the 54-year-old was driving a truck pulling a flatbed trailer and he was going north on the highway. He said Leggett ended up hitting the back of an 18-wheeler carrying medical supplies. Troopers said the driver of the 18-wheeler, Carlton Nobles might have been slowing down.
Nobles was not injured in the accident.
