RV Fire Death in Vernon

UPDATE: The husband, Michael Long, is in fair condition at Parkland Hospital.
A woman died in a recreational vehicle (RV) fire that occurred on November 11th. Fire officials say the body of Melissa Long was discovered inside the charred RV after the fire was extinguished.
Investigators say the fire started at around two yesterday morning in the Green Acres Subdivision about 3 miles southwest of Vernon.
Another occupant of the RV escaped the fire, but was transported to Wilbarger General Hospital, and then transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
The fire is being investigated by Vernon Fire/EMS Department investigators and the State Fire Marshals' office
