- Lone Star Conference playoff champion Midwestern State placed 22 players on the all-conference squad as released by league officials Thursday morning.
Senior safety Marqui Christian landed a pair of special honors as the J.V. Sikes Defensive Player of the Year to go along with Defensive Back of the Year honors. He also named an All-LSC first-team performer for the third consecutive year.

Christian became the school's all-time tackles leader amassing 283 stops including 83 this season to go along with 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
The Spring native also returned a fumble 63 yards for a touchdown in MSU's 26-21 win over Eastern New Mexico in the LSC Playoff semifinals.
Christian joins Germont Jackson (2001) and Micah Hill (2009) as the third MSU player to earn the LSC's top secondary award.

Senior Daniel Laudermilk earned LSC Linebacker of the Year accolades after leading the Mustangs with 90 tackles this season climbing to seventh on MSU's all-time tackles chart with 252.
The Austin native made 10-or-more tackles in three games this season including the second most in program history for a single game making 20 against Eastern New Mexico on Nov. 7.
Laudermilk, who earns All-LSC first-team honors for the first time in his career, also delivered 18 stops including 2.5 tackles for loss in a 16-13 win over Colorado Mesa earlier this season.
Senior Alfredo Moreno continued the legacy of great line play at MSU becoming the fourth Mustangs to earn LSC Offensive Lineman of the Year honors since the start of the 2010 season joining Amini Silatolu (2010, 2011), Ken Van Huele (2012) and Shadow Stokes (2014).
The first-team All-LSC performer made starts at left tackle, left guard and right guard helping the Mustangs survive a rash of injuries throughout the season.
Vincent Johnson becomes the third Mustang to earn LSC Freshman of the Year honors joining Daniel Polk (2004) and Jimmy Pipkin (2011).
Johnson, who was slowed by injury late in the season, led the MSU rushing attack with 581 yards on 101 carries with six touchdowns highlighted by a 190-yard, two-touchdown performance against West Texas A&M.
Bill Maskill gains a much earned fourth LSC Coach of the Year award. He has posted a winning ledger in each of his 14 seasons at MSU including postseason runs in 2004, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012 and this season.
Maskill also earned LSC Coach of the Year honors in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
Midwestern placed seven players on the first team as sophomore tackle John Rowell, senior tight Derek Lockhart, senior defensive Harold Wills and senior cornerback Dominique Rouse join Moreno, Laudermilk and Christian.
Rowell made three starts at right tackle before moving over to the left for the final seven regular season games. The Stafford, Texas native gained honorable mention a season ago.
Lockhart finished regular season play with 15 receptions for 212 yards with touchdowns against Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce. The athletic tight end from San Antonio also pitched in five tackles on special teams.
Wills made 37 tackles while leading defensive linemen with 9.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. The Gainesville, Texas product turned hero for the Mustangs returning an interception 4 yards for the game winning score in the LSC Playoff championship game against Texas A&M-Commerce.
Rouse turned in an exception year as the field side cornerback for the Mustangs. The Apopka, Fla. native made 47 tackles to go along with two interceptions and an LSC-best 13 pass breakups.
MSU boasted four second-team performers including senior offensive tackle Denzell Dotson, junior wide receiver Statron Jones, senior kicker Andy Alkhazshvilly and senior cornerback Dominique Williams.
Junior offensive guard Joel Onyia, junior center Akoakoa Kennedy, senior wide receiver Arsenio Phillips, sophomore quarterback Hagen Hutchinson, freshman running back Vincent Johnson, junior defensive tackle Darian Childers, junior defensive tackle Edgar Luna, redshirt-freshman defensive end Tyler Massey, junior linebacker Adam Hill, sophomore punter Mitchell Henton and sophomore deep snapper Bobby Joe Nielsen all garnered honorable mention.
As the No. 1 seed in Super Region Four with a 10-1 record, Midwestern State earned a bye into the second round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs and will face the winner of the Colorado State-Pueblo/Indianapolis game on Nov. 28 at Memorial Stadium.
