Fetus found in linen cart at United Regional

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Officials with United Regional confirmed to News Channel 6 a fetus was found at the hospital early Tuesday morning.

Around 5:45 a.m. officials said a fetus was found in a linen cart in the laundry department of the hospital.

Hospital security immediately notified the Wichita Falls Police Department and detectives arrived shortly after to begin an investigation, according to officials.

Manager of Marketing and Communications, Lynn Weisen said in a statement, "We respect and value the investigative process and are working closely with the WFPD. Therefore, it is not appropriate for us to disclose any additional details. We are saddened by the situation and are doing everything we can to help those involved."
