Investigation continues following discovery of 'not fully developed' baby
WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - The Wichita Falls Police Department is investigating the discovery of a 'not fully developed' baby at United Regional early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the hospital around 5:45 a.m. after the fetus was found in a linen cart in the laundry department, according to hospital officials.
WFPD officials said 'baby doe' has been sent off for an autopsy. A gender has not been released.
An investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
Manager of Marketing and Communications, Lynn Weisen said in a statement Tuesday evening, "We are saddened by the situation and are doing everything we can to help those involved."
