NOCONA, TX (RNN Texoma) - A year ago, the minds behind the Nocona Beer and Brewery were still setting up equipment and fine-tuning their beer brew.

Today, they have honed in on their core beers and are planning to release a few seasonal beers throughout the year.

"Something's Brewing in Nocona. It's more than just the beer, we're inviting people to come in and see how beautiful and wonderful this town is," said self-proclaimed beer whisperer and Manager Adam Moore.

Distribution of their beers to local stores is the next step in their business plan.

"I think it'll be fun to start seeing us on the shelf and out, be able to take us home and share with your friends," said Moore.

There's also plans to start serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the brewery.

"Not only do we have some barley that grows from Montague County in some of our beers but we want to showcase local products. If we can find local vendors, we can bring in local produce to serve with our beer," said Moore.

Nocona Beer and Brewery is now the third business inside the Old Nocona Boot Factory building.

"We are kind of building our own history and while it's newer, I think that incorporating the Nokona Athletic Goods Company into helping manufacture our tap handles and also their leather work to our history too, we're tying everything in together," said Moore.

There's an event space that Moore hopes to continue to build into an event center and bring in weekly concerts. But it's not all about beer and fun, they want to be able to give back as well. Every Saturday, they open a food bank to help feed those in the community.

"Our success is only as important as what we can give back to the community and so it's more than just being a business or increasing our profits. We really want to do something that gives back," said Moore.
