ARCHER COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) - Update: Dugan fire in Archer County has reached 100 percent containment, according to the Texas Forest Service website.


A fire in Archer County has burned 1,578 acres, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.

Officials confirmed a hot iron sparked the fire sometime Thursday while cattle were being branded.

The fire is located along FM 210 and Dugan Road south of Lake Kickapoo.

Helicopters were been called in to drop water on the fire Friday.

Officials say they are currently mopping up hot spots.
