WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - A Wichita Falls man was booked into the Wichita County Jail on Tuesday for three counts of Deadly Conduct.

The charges stem from an incident that took place at a wedding on June 16 in Wichita County.

Deputies with the Wichita County Sheriff's Office were called out to a disturbance with shots fired on Friberg Church Road and FM 171, according to the arrest warrant.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a wedding party with a large group of people in attendance. Deputies began to interview the people who were on the scene.

Witnesses told deputies, Anthony David Garcia, 33, arrived at the wedding and started a confrontation with the groom. The groom told Garcia to leave.

It is alleged when Garcia went to his truck, he pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at the ground in front of the groom's feet and fired one shot.

The groom's mother was near the groom when the shot was fired. According to sheriff's deputies, Garcia then got into his truck and began to leave when a woman approached his truck.

Garcia is accused of punching that woman in the face and then pointing the same pistol out of the truck window and firing the gun, again. Authorities said there were more than 20 people in the area during the disturbance.

A warrant was issued for Garcia's arrest on July 6. He is no longer in the Wichita Co. Jail.
