Public hearing held on proposed WF tax rate

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Wichita Falls residents are getting the opportunity to have their say on the 2018-2019 budget before it's voted on by the city council on September 18.
On Tuesday a public hearing was held on the proposed tax rate, which is expected to rise from 0.69 cents to 0.73 cents because of Proposition C passing in May for street improvements.
No one from the public spoke at the hearing, but another one will be held September 11 at 8:30 a.m. inside council chambers.
