Former DA Investigator booked into Wichita County Jail on sex crime charges

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Dan Martinez, a former Wichita County District Attorney’s Office investigator, has been booked into the Wichita County Jail.

Martinez was originally arrested in Ohio on March 13, 2025, for multiple counts of sexual assault and indecency with a child.

According to county records, Martinez faces 7 charges, including 4 counts of indecency with a child sexual contact, two counts of aggravated sexual assault on a child, and one count of indeceny with a child exposure.

According to arrest affidavits, Martinez allegedly sexually abused female victims aged between 5 and 15 years old. The combined bonds for the seven charges total around $4.25 million.
