Wrinkles, wagging tails and a little friendly competition are bringing Chinese Shar-Pei owners from across the country and Europe to Wichita Falls for the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America’s national dog show.
The Clay County Animal Shelter has spent more than two decades providing a safe haven for homeless animals, growing from a small operation into an independently owned no-kill shelter that continues to rely on community support.
Through volunteer work, donations, and county funds, the community put together the Montague County Animal Rescue in April of 2025. Which later helped hire the first Montague County Animal Control Officer.
