WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Cancer impacts millions, but in honor of Stand Up To Cancer Day, hope takes center stage.

Health experts share it’s more than just bringing awareness to the disease; it’s about researchers, survivors, fighters, and family standing together proving that no battle is fought alone.

“In the olden days, we used to have what is called a PET scan, but nowadays even the PET scan is used for different types of cancer. It is so much of treatment advancements that patients are living much longer. It is remarkable improvement in the patients’ survival rates. It’s good for the community, good for the patients, and there’s so much improvements, yes,” United Regional Cancer Center Oncologist Dr. Preveen Reddy said.

Dr. Reddy has been providing expert care for countless patients for decades in service to our community.

United Regional said it’s an honor to have Dr. Reddy’s compassionate oncology expertise among the ever-growing list of United Regional physician group services.
