WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The U.S. Navy’s time in Wichita Falls is almost over, but before they leave this weekend, they stopped by News Channel 6 for a demonstration.

While the Navy Band has been touring the area, another group has been showcasing ceremonial rifle training in the area.

The sailors demonstrated extreme dedication in their four man display through teamwork, rifle twirling and throwing all without a single hitch.

U.S. Petty Officer First Class Daniel Rosenbaugh said officers train meticulously for this act of showmanship.

“The performance that were about to do is continuously performed and trained on and each one of the throws that they go through we insure they can perfect it prior to coming out here. Accidents, of course, happen. Everyone is human; you’re throwing rifles around. A drop can occur; however, we make it as ceremoniously as possible.” Rosenbaugh said.

If you missed the demonstration any other time this week, they’ll also be at the MSU Texas football game tomorrow at 5:45 p.m.
