WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The annual Fall Market Retail and Lifestyle Trade Show is back in town to bring community members some fall fun this weekend.

While the event doesn’t officially begin until Friday, vendors are already arriving in large numbers to set up for the show.

The Fall Market brings in more than 100 local and regional vendors to promote and sell unique fall-themed products and services at the MPEC’s Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall.

Event vendor Chad Witherspoon said the Fall Market is a great opportunity for the community.

“I really enjoy this Fall Market. I think it’s a great event for the community to come out, walk around and see some of the local vendors and just enjoy the opportunity to get out. Obviously the weather is going to be awesome this weekend and enjoy our time out here,” Witherspoon said.

Witherspoon also said events like this help small businesses build relationships with local customers.

“This is a big part of our business. We obviously have to be out in front of the public so that they know us. I know everybody’s bombarded by social media and internet advertising, but we want them to know that we’re the local guys here in town, that we’re going to be here to service them from beginning to end,” Witherspoon said.

That’s a sentiment shared by fellow vendor Saul Ramos.

“It’s very important that local people shop in Wichita Falls to keep the money in the city, in the local area. So it’s very important to shop in a small business,” Ramos said.

The event also features thousands of dollars’ worth of door prizes, and admission is free.

The Fall Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Son aturday.
