MSU Texas Men’s Soccer returns home to celebrate historic National Championship
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The MSU Texas Men’s Soccer Team returned to campus last night to a celebratory crowd of friends, family, and fans.
The Mustangs capped off a historic weekend by defeating Rollins to win the Division II Men’s Soccer National Championship, marking the first national title in Midwestern State University history.
MSU Athletic Director Kyle Williams said the achievement reflects decades of dedication to the program and will be remembered for years to come.
“Midwestern State University now has its first national championship and we’re proud of the men’s soccer and the people that have gone before them. I mean 53 years of soccer and the people and coaches that have gone before them have laid the groundwork,” said Williams. “Again, just a special group. They’ll always remember it and I’ll always remember it as well.”
On behalf of News Channel 6, congratulations to the MSU Texas Men’s Soccer Team on an unforgettable season.
