Traffic slowed on Hwy. 287 after morning wreck
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ)— Traffic has slowed due to a wreck on Highway 287, near Loop 11 this morning.
Our crew said the wreck involved a Ford F-150 and a Kenworth Truck Tractor pulling a trailer, that was moved to the right lane as traffic was affected.
WFPD both drivers were taken to the United Regional Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told officers that the Ford was traveling at a high speed when it struck a tractor-trailer. WFPS shared that the damages to both vehicles were extensive.
WFPD Sgt. Charlie Eipper said that as of 10:15 a.m., citizens in the westbound lanes on Northwest Freeway at Loop 11 are still blocked, and there is no estimated time for the road to be unblocked.
