Interactive dinosaur exhibit roars into Graham
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - A new prehistoric adventure has arrived in Graham, giving families a chance to step back in time and put their dinosaur knowledge to the test.
The “Dinosaur Revolution” exhibit, now open at the Old Post Office Museum and Art Center, offers interactive fun for all ages.
“This exhibit is really different in the sense that it’s a maze. When you come in, you get tested on your dinosaur knowledge. You have to answer a question. If you answer incorrectly, you are going to hit a dead end eventually. If you answer correctly, you get to go the other direction and continue through the maze,“ The Old Post Office Museum and Art Center Executive Director Lynsey Browning said.
Families are encouraged to get lost in learning as they get to engage in many interactive activities while making memories along the way.
“We have a dinosaur dig where you can dig for dinosaur bones and fossils and eggs. We have a climbing wall. We have a mini zip line and a created dino-magnetic wall. A lot of really good activities for all ages,“ Browning said.
A lot of research was put into the exhibit as both parents and their children become junior paleontologists as they learn all dinosaurs may not be extinct.
“One of the main questions in the exhibit is, are dinosaurs extinct? And a lot of people would answer that, of course. Yes, we’re not getting chased by T-Rexes or raptors anymore, but a lot of the science behind that is saying that they are not. And you can come here and learn why scientists are starting to think that,“ Browning said.
Families can check out Dinosaur Revolution till October 25.
