WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Presbyterian Manor is unveiling its plans for a new seven-million-dollar outdoor remodeling campaign, hosted by CEO Kris Awtrey.

Awtrey said this initiative is part of a series of upgrades for Presbyterian Manor’s main building, which includes replacing 400 windows, repainting the building, and installing a new roof.

They will also be adding new amenities like a dog park, outdoor sitting areas, and fountains.

He said these enhancements will provide residents with spaces to come together and enjoy the community.

“We just revealed it today to our residents, so we’re super excited about that in regard to the funds, we are a non-profit here, so we will be doing some fundraising to help pay for this endeavor to help update and upgrade our facility,” Awtrey said.

CEO of Presbyterian Manor, Kris Awtrey, said that the new remodeling project will help the manor’s residents live comfortably while enjoying amenities that connect them.

“The updates are going to immensely help our socialization so when you move to Presbyterian Manor we want you to be able to move in and feel like you’re part of a big family and so with the updates with the inside now the outside that will just help for residents to come out and socialize together and experience life together have some different options and different things to do when you move to the Manor you know that every day I have something I can do,” Awtrey said.

He said they expect the project to be completed in 2026. Awtrey encourages people to stop by and see what Manor has to offer.

“This project we started several months ago, in the planning stages of it, actually, once we begin it will probably take six months to a year to do a full completion, it takes time to order four hundred windows, it takes time to get all the exterior landscaping done, and you’ve got to do it the right time of year,” Awtrey said.

Construction for the project will begin next week, beginning with structures. Landscaping projects will begin in the spring.
