WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Continuing coverage of the 2025 i.d.e.a Wichita Falls entrepreneur competition takes us to Goodin Plumbing. It’s a family-owned, multi-generational business that has served Wichita Falls and North Texas for more than 30 years.

Now led by co-owners JC and Courtney Goodin, the company grew from a single truck into a five-truck operation built on family values and community connections. Through the i.d.e.a. WF program, the Goodin family sharpened their skills and kept their focus on the needs of people.

“If we are all about quality over quantity, making sure that we serve our customers, to be able to have teams available, that’s really important to us. I think that that’s one of the big aspects of growing,” Courtney Goodin said.

For the Goodin family, quality over quantity isn’t just a motto, it’s the foundation of its success.

The company said it prides itself on craftsmanship and customer care while also embracing the latest tools and technology, from tankless water heaters and softeners to high-tech drain cameras.

Serving homeowners, schools and businesses across Texoma, the team has built a reputation for trust and reliability.

“We want the customer experience to be it best. We want to be able to provide everything a customer needs without having to resource outside of our area into another company or anything like that so, every time we get a new tool or a new piece of equipment or some kind of technology, that just helps us to serve our customer base better,” Courtney Goodin said.

That commitment isn’t just about today. With the support of i.d.e.a. WF, Goodin prepared its business for the future and already passed that knowledge down to the next generation. The Goodin family’s daughter joined the company as an apprentice while she pursued her college degree.

“She has her apprentice guard, so she will actually go out on trucks and learn a lot of business while she’s in college, we also try to grow from apprentices. Our young apprentices come in straight out of high school and learn the trade and build up our business from scratch with those young kids,” JC Goodin said.

For the Goodins, the greatest reward is in strengthening their family bond while serving their community in meaningful, lasting ways.
