Private company “Third Future” will take over two additional WFISD schools

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The WFISD Board of Trustees has voted to add Booker T. Washington and Southern Hills Elementary School to the group of schools being overseen by private company Third Future.

The decision was based on the need for academic improvement at both campuses, and the contract will begin in 2026.

“The district believes beginning this partnership at an earlier age will better prepare students for continued success through middle school, high school, and beyond,” said Ashley Thomas, a Communications Officer for WFISD.
