i.d.e.a. WF raises record prizes for annual entrepreneur awards

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - For our Good News today, i.d.e.a. WF held a luncheon to announce the winners of its annual entrepreneur competition, which first kicked off in March of 2025.

Every finalist got a cash prize this year, and Goodin Plumbing LLC took home the grand prize of $25,100 after a meal catered by program alumni Snookies Craft Kitchen and speeches from notable figures.

The i.d.e.a. program is a six-month intensive workshop for small businesses that takes entrepreneurs through every step of business planning, from making sales and financial forecasts to conducting market research to pitching to investors.

Courtney and J.C. Goodin, winners of the grand prize, said that they were very overwhelmed.

“It’s very exciting. When we started this, we didn’t think we had any chance in any kind of prize,” Courtney Goodin says. “We were really in just for the business classes, trying to improve ourselves. So to win the grand prize is just amazing. I’m speechless.”
