WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Award-winning nonprofit executive Rachel Wolff has been unanimously named the new CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls, effective December 8th of this year.

With two decades of senior leadership experience at World Vision and CARE USA, Wolff has expanded resources and impact for youth and families around the world and made a significant impact in her field of work, with a proven track record of building relationships that deliver results. In addition, she is a multilingual former journalist at the Japanese daily Asahi Shimbun.

She holds an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Bachelor of Science with honors from Georgetown University. Wolff and her husband Chris have been married 28 years and have four children together. She is an active church member and in her spare time prefers to cook, work out, or read an inspiring biography.

“Rachel brings an outstanding combination of vision, experience, and passion for young people,” said Diann Taylor, Board Chair. “We are confident she will guide Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls into its next chapter of growth and impact.”

Another board member Leo Lane said that Wolff could change the organization for the better.

“We expect Rachel’s hire to be transformational for the community and the club. We are very excited to have her, and we see her as being very passionate, being a really good critical thinker, and her experience brings all that together for us,” Lane said.

Seasoned CEO Randy Cooper, with over five decades at the company, will be retiring as Wolff takes over.

“I’ve been here for 52 years. Sometimes you just know when it’s time to step down, and the search committee has done a great job finding our next CEO,” Cooper said.

Lane said the team will always remember Cooper’s time at the organization.

“Randy’s impact has been phenomenal. I mean, his communication abilities and his understanding of the needs of the kids and all the changes we’ve gone through with new building renovations and new buildings. And we’re going to miss Randy,” Lane said.

Cooper has led the Boys & Girls Club of Wichita Falls for over 50 years, and the Club emphasizes its appreciation for Cooper’s contributions to program quality and access, community partnerships, and the Club’s operational foundation, as well as his lasting impact on Wichita Falls’ youth.

There will be a retirement celebration for Cooper, open to the public, at the Boys & Girls Club Central location on December 3rd starting at 11:30 a.m.
