Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony to be hosted at Lake Wichita

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Major Francis Grice Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be hosting a Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony on March 29.
Along with the Major Francis Grice Chapter, instructors, JROTC students and Patriot Guards will be assisting during the ceremony. All veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, will be recognized regardless of duty location.
The Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 designates March 29 as the annual day of observance, as the last U.S. combat troops left Vietnam and the last prisoners of war arrived back in the U.S. on this day in 1973.
The event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Plaza at Lake Wichita (5205 Fairway Boulevard) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
