WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - According to the District Attorney’s Office, 68-year-old Danny Martinez, a former DA Investigator, has pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual abuse.

A press release from the District Attorney’s Office stated that Martinez was sentenced to 15 years on four counts of sexual abuse in the 30th District Court on Friday, August 14.

Judge Jeff McKnight accepted the plea agreement and sentenced Martinez accordingly. As part of the agreement, Martinez waived his right to appeal.

Martinez worked at the District Attorney’s Office starting in 1993. He retired in November 2022 and moved to Ohio.

The District Attorney’s Office shared that in 2025, the victims began coming forward to detail the abuse. The abuse incidents happened in 1995-1996, 2000, 2002, and 2012-14. In sexual abuse cases, this type of delayed disclosure is common.
