Cody Lee

Cody Lee serves as Assignment Manager for the FOX5 News department in Southern Nevada, helping drive daily coverage and breaking news across the Las Vegas Valley. A familiar face in the market, he previously worked in Las Vegas from 2015 to 2018.

In his role, Lee coordinates newsgathering from start to finish—making story assignments, deploying crews, and moving quickly as news develops. He books interviews, secures information from local agencies and community stakeholders, and vets sources to help ensure fair, accurate story balance, especially on sensitive topics. He also works closely with newsroom and production teams on live coverage and special events.

Lee began his career in the news industry at 18, shortly after graduating high school, and continued building his experience while in college. He brings years of video editing and newsgathering expertise, with hands-on roles across the newsroom—from running teleprompter to producing full newscasts.

Lee joined FOX5 from KYMA in Yuma, Arizona, where he spent two years as a multimedia journalist covering the U.S.-Mexico border, local politics, and community issues.

A Phoenix native, Lee also spent time at Arizona’s Family (FOX5’s sister station) as a news editor for the city’s #1-rated morning show, Good Morning Arizona.
