WFISD Chief of Police put on administrative leave

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Wichita Falls ISD has confirmed that WFISD Chief of Police Anthony Smith is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

As this investigation is ongoing and involves a personnel matter, the district was unable to provide additional details at this time to our news team.

However, WFISD confirmed that the matter under investigation does not involve students, and at no time was student safety compromised.
