Two booked in Wichita Co. Jail following copper theft, large spool discovered in vehicle

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Two have been booked into the Wichita County Jail after a traffic stop found a large spool of stolen copper in the back of a vehicle.
Kathline Brock Biskup and Harley Brock Holder were charged with Theft of Copper under $20.000 and, as of the publication of this article, have not bonded out of jail.
According to court records, after an officer noted the vehicle the pair were in was driving and making multiple U-turns in residential areas, the 2006 Lexus was pulled over for a traffic stop after failing to stop at a stop sign.
When the vehicle was pulled over, the officer noted a large and visible spool of copper in the backseat of the car.
Biskup, the driver of the vehicle, shared that Holder had woken her up in the middle of the night to ‘borrow her vehicle,’ to which she declined, offering to drive him.
In an interview with investigators, Biskup said that she took Holder to the location because Holder had ‘stashed some things that he needed to pick up’ and that they were on the way back to her residence with the spool.
According to Holder’s arrest affidavit, he said that before being pulled over, he was in Burkburnett, helping a friend acquire the copper, but changed his story multiple times to the investigator.
Officers found that both Biskup and Holder were intentionally and knowingly transporting stolen copper, and both were booked on $5,000 and $20,000 bonds, respectively.
